JURY VERDICT
Barton Cahill obtained successful defense verdict on behalf of client following two day jury trial.  The opposing party injured himself while working on a farm owned by Cahill's client.  Opposing party claimed he was injured because Cahill's client failed to properly supervise employees, provide a safe working environment and provide proper instructions.  The jury found no liable on the part of Cahill's client.   (August 2012)

$50,000 SETTLEMENT
This case involved a woman who was injured when she slipped and fell in a store as result of a latent condition.  Our office obtained settlement on behalf of our client. (November 2011)

$50,000 SETTLEMENT
This case involved a woman who slipped and fell on a spilled substance inside a store while shopping at a local big box retailer.  She sustained a fracture of her leg.  The case was settled out of court.  (November 2011)

$10,000 SETTLEMENT
Barton Cahill obtains settlement for client who sustained soft tissue injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident.  (October 2011)

Scott Strand obtained defense verdict on behalf of client in this property damage claim following a jury trial.  (August 2011)

$400,000 SETTLEMENT
This case involved a man who was seriously injured when struck by a vehicle while walking.  The Cahill Law Office successfully recovered the policy limits from both the driver's insurance company and the victim's underinsured carrier. (July 2011)

$400,000 SETTLEMENT
This claim involved a home that was destroyed by a fire originating in the garage.  Our investigation revealed that the fire began as a result of a defective product housed in the garage.  The Cahill Law Office made a claim against product manufacturer on behalf of the homeowner's insurer. (April 2011)

VERDICT

Barton Cahill obtains verdict on behalf of this client following a bench trial.  The opposing party claimed her property was damaged while visiting property owned by Cahill's client.  The Court found no liability on the part of Cahill's client.  (January 2011)

$111,750 SETTLEMENT
The claim involved a piece of farm equipment that was destroyed by fire.  A claim was made against the manufacturer of the equipment on behalf of the equipment owner/insurer.  The claim settled prior to suit.  (September 2010)

$20,000 SETTLEMENT
Client sustained soft injuries following a motor vehicle accident in downtown Fargo.  The case was settled out of court.  (September 2010)

$115,000 SETTLEMENT
This claim involved damage to a construction site.  A claim was made against the general contractor and sub contractor on behalf of the project owner and its insurer.  The claim was settled before suit.  (August 2010)

$218,755.77 JUDGMENT
This claim involved a debt owed to our clients which the opposing parties denied they owed and refused to pay.  The Cahill Law Office brought suit against the opposing parties and obtained summary judgment ordering payment of the entire along with costs and interest.  The debt was paid shortly thereafter.  (December 2009)

VOLUNTARY DISMISSAL
This claim involved the defense of our client against an injury claim.  The opposing party was injured after being bit by a dog owned by a party who rented a home from our client.  The injured party sued our client alleging our client breached a duty to use the care for safety for all lawful entrants to the property and that our client knew, or should have known, about the alleged violent propensities of the dog.  The opposing party voluntarily dismissed the claim after our office moved for summary judgment.  (October 2009)

SUMMARY JUDGMENT

This claim involved allegations of professional misconduct on the part of our clients.  The Cahill Law Office obtained summary judgment on behalf of our client with the Court ordering dismissal of the claim against our client.  (August 2009)

$17,500 SETTLEMENT
Our client was injured as a passenger in a single vehicle accident.  The driver was four wheeling in a field south of Fargo, hit an embankment, and client sustained soft tissue injuries.  (July 2009)

$55,000 SETTLEMENT
This claim involves a young woman who was injured while on an inflatable amusement game.  The Cahill Law Office made a claim against the owner of the game and obtained settlement on behalf of the injured party (May 2009)

$169,000 SETTLEMENT
Our client was injured as a passenger in a motor vehicle accident.  She sustained injuries to her neck, shoulder, knee, and ankle.  Client sustained wage loss as a result.  The case was settled out of court.  (September 2008)

$350,000 SETTLEMENT
This case involved a wrongful death claim.  Our client was the surviving husband of a woman who died as a result of a head on crash.  Survivors included children.  (August 2005)
